¼ cup sugar
½ cup milk
¼ cup butter (melted)
1 tsp Almond extract
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ Tbsp Baking powder
salt
½ cup sliced almonds

Preparation steps

1.

Heat the oven to 400ºF / 200ºC. Grease a 20 hole mini muffin tin.

Mix together the egg, sugar, milk, butter and almond extract in a mixing bowl until combined.

Sift in the flour, baking powder and salt and fold gently into the mixture until blended but still slightly lumpy.
4.
Spoon the mixture into the muffin tins and place a few almonds on top of each muffin.
5.
Bake for about 20 minutes until well risen. Cool in the tins for 5 minutes then place on a wire rack to cool.

Sift over a little confectioners’ powdered sugar just before serving.

How much almond extract and a tablespoon of salt?? Is that a typo?
